Operating mode selection

IMPORTANT:
You will only be prompted to choose between Simple and Advanced modes if "Enable Advanced Mode" is enabled in Options. With this option disabled, program starts the analysis using Simple Mode automatically. If "Enable Advanced Mode" is set, you will be prompted choose between these two modes after a partition to analyze is selected.

Simple ("autopilot") Mode, which allows for automatic recovery. In Simple Mode, program asks no questions, but you can not interfere with a recovery process. Simple Mode is recommended for typical usage.

Advanced Mode, which gives you better control over the things program does. In Advanced Mode you are asked to confirm each step of the recovery. This does however require some technical skills and sometimes even some data recovery knowlege.
